The gospel is the means to transform the world. Homeschooling is the means to write the gospel deeply in our children's hearts, teaching them how to live right, along with skills and academics. The LDS Homeschooling Organization exists to help every family to be successful: to have support, love and friendship as they strive to homeschool. Our aim is to make homeschooling a viable educational option for LDS members everywhere, that families can grow up "unto the Lord" and be a force for building His kingdom.
About Us
We are am a homeschooling family of 20 years. Our 7 children are partly grown now. We have 2 married, 1 at BYU, and 3 still in homeschool. Years ago (actually 16 years ago), we caught the vision of creating unity amongst those dedicated LDS families that are striving to "bring up their children unto the Lord". There are so very many of us in the world, but I was surprised to find out that most of us don't know that thousands of LDS homeschoolers even exist! We began a homeschooling resource business and store to help support homeschooling families and soon realized that there were LDS homeschooling families all over the nation who thought they were the "only ones". How sad, when we all could be enjoying each other's friendship and support. So our dream was born--a dream of helping connect and support LDS homeschoolers. The Find LDS Homeschoolers section is the heart of our website. Please take the time to add yourself as a stake representative. Your privacy is highly guarded, but you will be providing a much needed service in helping those LDS families (who may feel very alone in their academic pursuits) to know others just like themselves, even local enough to them to create friendships! You'll also find links to fine LDS homeschoolers who have set up fantastic websites with so much helpful info. My hope is that someday, this beloved freedom to educate our own children will be well respected within the LDS community and that families will receive the support, resources, friends and encouragement they need to raise righteous children who love the Lord and who are well-educated and well-socialized, because of our united efforts!
May God bless you!

"Parents, work at the matter of creating an atmosphere in your homes. Let your children be exposed to great minds, great ideas, everlasting truth, and those things which will build and motivate for good.
"The Lord has said to this people, "Seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith." (D&C 88:118.) I wish to urge every parent within the sound of my voice to try to create within your home an atmosphere of learning and the growth which will come of it."
